What should be paid attention to when using gas?

(1) What dangers can gas bring?

Gas is a flammable and explosive substance. If gas leaks and comes into contact with an ignition source, it can result in fires or explosions. Commonly used gases include natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas. Natural gas is lighter than air and, when it leaks, it can easily rise and disperse. Liquefied petroleum gas, on the other hand, is heavier than air. When it leaks, it can sink and accumulate, leading to greater hazards. As gas is colorless and odorless, odorants (such as mercaptan) are often added for safety reasons. This imparts the typical gas smell that you recognize, aiding in the detection and prevention of leaks.
Given that gas is inherently hazardous, it is of utmost importance to establish correct usage procedures and principles, remain attentive to its application, and conduct regular inspections to avert the potential of gas-related hazards.

(2) What should be paid attention to when using gas stoves?

a. Always remember the principle of “turning off the flam when leaving the stove”. When you leave the stove, it is a must to switch off the flame to prevent accidents.
b. After use, switch off the stoves and the valve of gas cylinder.
c. Do not place any flammable materials nearby the stoves.
d. Pay attention to air circulation to prevent the production of carbon monoxide from incomplete combustion.
e. Clean and well-maintain gas stoves, range hoods and pipes.

(3) What should be paid attention to when using gas cylinder?

a. For safety concerns, gas cylinders should be placed in a well-ventilated outdoor space.
b. Avoid exposing gas cylinders to direct sunlight. Keep cylinders upright and securely placed to prevent potential falls and tilting.
c. Choose gas hoses and regulators that comply with national standards. Avoid excessive twisting or tangling of the hose, and promptly replace it if signs of aging, cracking, or damage are observed.
